The AV Integration team has arrived back in South Africa after attending a record-breaking Integrated Systems Europe (ISE 2019) in Amsterdam, held at the RAI in Amsterdam between 5 and 8 February.

This years’ edition of the show was the largest to date, both in terms of exhibition space and attendee registrations. Highlights at the show included the world premiere of Sviatovid, a 360-degree projection sculpture by Bart Kresa, who also gave the opening address and a closing keynote by creative director Tupac Martir. The event also hosted ten conferences at the neighbouring Hotel Okura, as well as a comprehensive professional development programme supported by the show’s association co-owners AVIXA and CEDIA.

Many of the leading manufacturers of professional AV and integration technologies launched new products and previewed innovative upgrades to industry favourites. In addition to the impressive number of key players in the professional AV integration market, we also noted an increasing number of companies that specialise in technology targeted at the entertainment and rental markets, providing a holistic overview of current  AV technology across verticals.

Speaking to AV Integration, Integrated Systems Events managing director, Mike Blackman, stated that “ISE has become a key player in the professional AV industry, not only as a platform for enterprises to launch new products and technologies – but is also shaping the industry, with many companies building their research and development cycles around the show.”

The South African AV industry was well represented at ISE this year, with representatives from both leading distributors and installers in attendance.
